Distilled
Grain
At Green River Distilling (formerly OZ Tyler Distillery) in Western Kentucky, master distiller Jacob Call is descended from seven generations of Kentuckians and three generations of distillers. Despite the distillery’s technological innovations in aging spirits, Call credits the essential elements for their high-quality bourbon -- namely corn, barley and rye that they acquire from local farmers. Call visits the fields and meets the farmers before cooking and fermenting grain at the distillery.
